Every day, the Corporate Accounting team strives to bring value to the Finance function through delivering relevant, timely, and accurate financial information so that leadership may understand how NIKE is performing and make strategic business decisions. At WHQ, we’re currently hiring an Accounting Lead who will help ensure the complete and accurate accounting and reporting of NIKE’s Global Treasury activities, primarily focused on Foreign Exchange and Derivative-related activities.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be managing the complete, accurate and timely execution of monthly accounting procedures, internal controls and quarterly financial reporting related to NIKE’s treasury activities, primarily focused on foreign exchange and derivatives. You will be developing and driving the consistent application of Treasury-related accounting policies across NIKE’s operating entities and will serve as a subject matter expert in the technical accounting areas of foreign exchange and derivatives.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will closely partner with the Global Treasury teams to ensure Controlling’s understanding of and engagement in Global Treasury’s practices, transactions and initiatives. You will be the point person for foreign exchange and derivative accounting matters and will further partner with a variety of groups within Controlling and Finance.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, finance, or related functions; experience within a large multinational, public company is strongly preferred

• Treasury Accounting experience such as FX or Derivatives is preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to optimally identify, communicate, and influence technical matters, issues, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership

• Proven ability to communicate complex and ambiguous topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations
