Every day, the Corporate Accounting team strives to bring value to the Finance function through delivering relevant, timely, and accurate financial information so that leadership may understand how NIKE is performing and make strategic business decisions. We’re currently hiring for our Global Treasury – Digital Assets Accounting team at WHQ. This individual will be key to ensuring the complete and accurate accounting and reporting of NIKE’s digital asset portfolio (including gaming, NFTs, etc.) and related business activities.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll join the team that is leading and executing the complete, accurate, and timely execution of monthly accounting procedures, internal controls, and quarterly financial reporting related to NIKE’s digital asset portfolio and related business activities. You'll be developing and driving the consistent application of related accounting policies and will serve as a subject matter expert in the technical accounting area of digital assets. You'll work to proactively develop an efficient, automated, and robust digital assets go-froward reporting structure. Further, you’ll research, document, and apply technical accounting standards to NIKE’s digital asset activities and other business activities.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You'll closely partner with the Global Treasury teams, Controlling Value Streams, Expert Functions, Tax, Legal, Finance, and the Digital Assets businesses (RTFKT and .SWOOSH), as the point person to ensure Controlling’s understanding of, engagement in, and accounting and reporting of the practices, transactions and initiatives of NIKE’s digital asset portfolio and related business activities.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of US GAAP, SEC reporting, technical accounting and/or audit experience ideally from Public Accounting and/or Corporate Accounting environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks and opportunities
Consistent record of developing high-profile, influential, and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers
Exposure to ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar softwares) and Blockchain-based transactions is a plus
Strong enthusiasm and passion for the Nike brand!
