Every day, the Corporate Accounting team strives to bring value to the Finance function through delivering relevant, timely, and accurate financial information so that leadership may understand how NIKE is performing and make strategic business decisions. At WHQ, we’re currently hiring for a Lead, Technical Accounting Advisory and Policy to support the team dedicated to establishing and maintaining NIKE's technical accounting policies, facilitating accounting training, and providing support on projects that further our overall strategy. You'll play an instrumental part in developing and ensuring consistent application of accounting policies across NIKE operating entities.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

• Monitoring and assessing the impacts of new accounting standards

• Researching, resolving, and documenting technical accounting issues and complex business transactions

• Reviewing external disclosures in partnership with the External Reporting team

• Creating and facilitating accounting training for NIKE partners across the global business

• Maintaining and updating NIKE accounting policies to ensure compliance with emerging US GAAP and evolving business activities

• Preparing materials for NIKE disclosure and Audit Committees

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role reports to a Director, Technical Accounting and Policy and partners with NIKE team members across accounting functions at NIKE World Headquarters and within each of the Company's geographies. This partnership expands beyond Controlling through your involvement in training efforts and special projects (including business acquisitions and new business models) additionally, you'll build external relationships with industry peers through robust benchmarking activities.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO NIKE

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of US GAAP, technical accounting, and/or audit experience ideally from a Public Accounting and/or Corporate Accounting environment

• Demonstrated ability to identify, research, and resolve accounting issues experience in implementing change in policies and procedures preferred

• Consistent record of developing high-profile, influential, and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers

• Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment while managing multiple, competing priorities and requests

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

• Strong enthusiasm and passion for the Nike brand!
