Nike Finance employees play a key role in that progress by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to drive value for every Nike shareholder. They manage accounting and reporting for Nike’s multi-billion-dollar global investment portfolio, debt and equity instruments, and other Treasury activities. They strategize, forecast, audit, analyze, budget, research and lead important decisions. Across Nike’s diverse geographies and businesses, Finance employees deliver far more than just the numbers.
Finance Manager – NIKE, Inc. Beaverton, OR. Develops appropriate planning assumptions and guardrails to support in-year financial planning, scenario analysis, business case development, and agile portfolio investment management. Leads the SG&A forecasting process and deliverables for the position that includes timely and insightful financial analysis to determine progress against strategic plan, budget, and prior forecast for Management Reporting such as MBR, QBR and CFO reviews. Provides Performance Management target insights and communicates landing estimates, risks and opportunities. Reviews Functional portfolio roll-up and providing actionable insights to key decision makers such as Functional Leadership Team & EVP. Owns management & reporting of sub-function portfolios with Finance LT & key stakeholders in alignment with forecast gates. Leads financial forecasting, investment management & long range planning (i.e., AOP, CSR, Budget, among others) of Global Functional investment in coordination with stakeholders. Drives standardization of forecasting and reporting for corporate functions piloting leading practices. Provides ad-hoc support of new strategies and business case development, building robust financial models. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a finance-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. In-year financial planning;
2. Long range financial planning;
3. Portfolio management;
4. Reporting using BW, SAP and BPC;
5. Purchase order and vendor management;
6. Scenario analysis and recommendations to stakeholders;
7. Accounting for accruals, SG&A expenses, capital assets, and prepaids; and
8. Quantitative/qualitative analysis and build robust financial models
